Coolfeed has been formed by Brokenenglish web designer Iain Stewart to make web sites for individuals and small businesses who want to set up a web site on the internet for the first time, with the least possible hassle and at a price that doesn't put them into the red. Coolfeed design and host first-time web sites at the lowest possible cost, and achieve highest possible impact by using modern, Standards-compliant code and everything else learned over more than 10 years of making web sites for various clients.
Our ongoing success with such larger web sites has provided the opportunity to advance the Coolfeed idea of very low cost, high success first-time web sites. We are truly committed to ensuring that every Coolfeed site is a major, astonishing success for its owner - we aim always to exceed our clients' expectations of what their web site can achieve.
Coolfeed is focussed on providing people and small companies not yet on the web with an initial presence that is original, compelling, effective and which provides a solid foundation for early success and future expansion.
It is our purpose to show our clients that even a one- or two-page web site, if coded and structured intelligently and passionately, can produce substantial direct benefits within a relatively short time - and for extremely lttle outlay.
Once a Coolfeed site is up-and-running - whether hosted on our servers or on server space available to the site owner - it is entirely up to the owner-client where the site goes in the future. Because all Coolfeed sites are developed in Standards-compliant, xhtml/CSS based code, they are as future-proof as possible, easy to extend in any direction the owners wish, with or without our help.
We have enormous experience in making web sites that work and receive high quantities of search engine generated traffic, always within extremely tight budgetary and resource constraints. Almost all sites we have built in the past were made on shoestring budgets yet all have come to rank very highly in search engine results and position, as well as gaining high public prestige and delivering significant commercial benefits. We have found out the hard way what works on the internet and how small businesses can compete and gain the edge against big and rich competitors.
With Coolfeed, we want to use this experience to create successful web sites for people and small firms who have not yet discovered all the benefits an internet presence can bring. We envisage our clients being individuals and small businesses such as builders, electricians, actors, cafés, health food shops, artists, plumbers, sculptors, pest controllers, theatres, photographers, comedians, publishers, dance studios, magicians, also small charities, churches, community projects, etc. etc (but we also expect many surprises).
Cost-effeciveness is at the heart of the Coolfeed concept - it will be extremely difficult to find any cheaper method of getting a professional web site up and running. Our ultra-low prices are made possible by reducing and cutting out the many time-intensive stages usually involved in dealing with a web design company.
In particular, we aim to cut out personal meetings with clients, and any lengthy proofing and approval processes. The vast majority of our time is thus devoted to designing and coding each web site - and charging the lowest possible rates for this input, without in any way jeopardising the quality and impact of the end result.
Once the general goals and any client preferences regarding the 'look and feel' of a site have been determined via telephone conversations and/or email exchanges, all the 'raw' content (text and images) is obtained from the client, and we then design and code the site to a 'final proof' stage which the client can check and amend as necessary before the finished site is published online. All our work is totally customised to our clients' wishes and requirements. Most Coolfeed sites will normally be fully operational within 2 to 3 weeks of order confirmation. This 'Keep it Simple' process keeps costs to a minimum, while creating a working relationship between clients and ourselves which allows us to make optimally effective web sites that accurately reflect their owners' goals and wishes.
