You will need to own a domain name (yourname.co.uk, yourname.com etc) that can be configured to point to your new website. If you do not own a suitable domain already, we will advise you on appropriate names to search for and will register the best name available on your behalf and configure it to point at our webserver; we will also set up up to three email addresses for you, e.g. info@yourdomainname.co.uk.

The costs of acquiring, registering and setting up a domain name are kept as low as possible, using all discounts and other facilities available to us.

At present, our prices for registering a domain name are £15 p.a. for .uk domain names or £30 p.a. for US/International domain names (.com. .net, .org, .biz, .info). Registration of other domain names (.eu, other country suffixes) is from £40 p.a. Iin most cases, 2 years registration fees must be paid, although the US names can be paid by the year. Domain name registration at these rates is only available in conjunction with one of our website packages.

Transfers of existing domain names to our servers are free, but .com, .net, .org, biz, .info domains need to have 1 year added to their registration when they are transfered. This means you have an extra year before you need to renew them again. UK domain names are free to transfer.

As with every other aspect of setting up and publishing your first web site, we will handle all technical aspects of securing and configuring a domain name for you, and will advise you on a choice of domain name to enhance your visibility in regard to the major search engines, while also meeting optimum current usability and general promotional guidelines.
